Velvet Assassin: New Screens
4 New Screens have been dropped for the WWII stealth/action game Velvet Assassin. If you don’t know the back story, the game stars Violette Summer a character depicting real life secret agent Violette Szabo, whose story is remarkable if you have a few minutes to read it.
The game doesn’t claim to be based on Szabo’s missions, just inspired by; so we’ll see if the same fate (potential spoiler alert?) is tied to Summer.
Velvet Assassin is currently scheduled for a fall release on the Xbox 360 and PC.
Digital Distribution Platform ‘Impulse’ Launched
Earlier today publisher Stardock announced the launch of Impulse, a new PC gaming digital distribution and retail platform for Windows XP and Windows Vista. The platform is available for download now on Impulse’s official website.
Stardock CEO Bard Wardell states:
“Impulse is a platform first, a store second. Our primary objective with Impulse is to address the issues users have with their Windows experience today.”
Impulse supports all types of PC software including games, applications and utilities, with Stardock adding it is currently working with Epic Games, THQ, Gas Powered Games, Ironclad Games, and several other companies in building the software list of Impulse.
The platform’s online store currently offers a variety of products and game titles including Unreal Tournament 3, Sins of a Solar Empire and Penny Arcade Adventures.
Impulse is bundled with today’s retail release of Stardock’s The Political Machine 2008, making the software a rebranded version of the company’s previous digital distribution answer Stardock Central. Any titles purchased on users’ Stardock.net accounts will transfer to Impulse.

Silent Hunter 5 is gonna be awesome!!!
It worries me how much it looks like SH4 but just the fact that its in the atlantic will be reason enough for me to buy it!!! Also really nice to finally be able to walk around your sub freely.
